The hotel is isolated above the town, and there is not really much to do around the hotel itself unless you play golf, but as a place to spend a night when in the area it was very pleasant. The staff were friendly and attentive, our room was well equipped and the dining experience was very enjoyable. The chef knows what he is about, and the ambience in the dining room is conducive to enjoying a leisurely dinner at the end a day spent visiting gardens in the Cotswolds.
I also liked that fact that the total bill for two was over £100 less than it would have been at the more famous place in the village! |
