This was the finest villa experience we have ever had. We went with 15 friends and our room was ridiculously spacious and absurdly comfortable, with a private terrace, deep tub, separate shower, king bed, amazing linens (the towels are so soft and aborbent that one is practically dehydrated after drying off from the shower)--with every modern convenience. I could not imagine that service could be so gracious, professional, warm and attentive, without excessive intrusion or obsequiousness, and completely lacking pretention. There is something very rare and special going on here, something that i have never experienced at any other "riad". If i owned a hotel, i would want marteyne running it. If i needed a staff, it would be this staff. Every desire is met, often without having to ask. When you enter the riad, you are greeted with "what would you like to drink?" (drinks then arrive where you want them, accompanied by complimentary moroccan pastries or hors d'oeuvres, depending on the time of day). The riad itself is beautifully and elegantly furnished, with a swimming pool, enormous terraces, a hamman (which is available privately and free), a massage room and a gym; you can dine poolside (the food was some of the best we had, and we tried many of the "top" places), on any of the terraces, or in the elegant private dining room (the included breakfast was first rate). I think i have been spoiled for life, as no other lodging experiecene will probably ever compare to this one (we stayed at another top-ranked riad as there was not availability at la lune d'or for our entire stay, where the management mistook the guests for walking wallets, and our comfort and happiness were not even considered). I could go on and on as i have failed to include all that was spectacular here, but i presume by now you get the gist. Don't miss the opportunity. If you are with a group of friends or family, this is the place to stay!
