| In its early days, the waterhead frequently welcomed the illustrious victorian artist and social critic, john ruskin, as a guest. Ruskin's home, brantwood, lies just across the lake and many of his visitors (including charles darwin) would stay as guests at the waterhead. During the second world war, the hotel became a school for evacuees - sir robin day being amongst its pupils. For conferences, the hotel can host a minimum number of 4 delegates and a maximum of 20. Waterhead is licensed for civil marriages/partnerships. The friendly staff aim to accommodate all special requests and the housekeeping team will be on hand to help ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. |
