| The hotel has 30 comfortable rooms, some with recently refurbished bathrooms. Many overlook the meare or gardens and golf course. There are 2 bars, one is traditional and oak-panelled and the patio bar is more contemporary, serving hot and cold snacks and beverages throughout the day until 21:00. Breakfast is served from 07:30 until 09:30 (10:00 on sunday). The room service menu includes breakfast and a variety of other dishes and is available from 07:30 until 21:00. The dinner menu changes daily featuring fresh local produce from independent suppliers. Reservations can be made for the restaurant between 19:00 and 21:00 - we do advise booking in advance. The restaurant is a non-smoking area. For guests arriving after 21:00, please do contact the hotel and we can advise on special arrangements. A drawing room and library are quieter areas of the hotel with comfy sofas and a supply of card and board games. The snooker room has a full-size table, sky tv and a darts board. Our own 18-hole golf course has been compared to woodhall spa or sunningdale. There is also the opportunity to play at aldeburgh golf course. Green fees vary through the year and a handicap certificate is mandatory. Cycles may be hired all year round and tennis is free to guests, with the exception of july and august. |
