The hotel's estate and surrounding sierra de grazalema natural park are exceptional for bird-watching, botanizing and walking. In spring, the flowers form multi-coloured carpets along the paths and lanes. In the sierra del pinar eagles and vultures can usually be seen circling among the tops of the mountains. A swimming-pool with its own terrace is a favourite with guests in the summer although the pool is open almost all year round. Nearby is an ecological orchard with almond and olive trees, main patios, gardens and two ancient threshing floors for grain. In the evening guests are welcome to take a stroll around the grounds, along the well-lit paths.
