| A hotel since the beginning of the 20th century, the 4 star portinari takes its name from tomasso di folco portinari, a wealthy florentine businessmen who represented the medici family in bruges. Ideally situated on t'zand, where the saturday market takes place, guests will appreciate the friendly staff and the immediate proximity of shops, bars and restaurants. All the rooms are spacious and comfortable and, in the evenings, guests are invited to relax in the hotel bar overlooking the square. The railway station is only ½ a mile from the hotel, and the 'markt' with its rows of gabled buildings and horse-drawn carriages clattering over its cobbles, is just minutes away. |
