The swallow old manor is a country house hotel set in picturesque lundin links, overlooking largo bay and a championship golf course, 12 miles from st andrews. With warm decor and cherry and walnut wood furnishings, guestrooms include satellite tv, desks, direct dial phones, trouser presses and tea/coffee making facilities. Bathrooms have bathrobes, makeup mirrors, hair dryers, sewing kits and complimentary toiletries.
the hotel has two restaurants: the terrace brasserie and grill is open all day and serves cuisine created from fresh local produce, game and fish with views of the bay and golf course. The coachman's bistro is open for lunch and dinner and serves steaks, seafood, beers, and over 100 malt whiskies in relaxed surrounding. Guests can relax in the library bar and enjoy the impressive selection of whiskies, cognacs, and liqueurs. Room service is also available. The hotel has two air conditioned conference suites with natural lighting which can accommodate up to 150 delegates. Parking on site is free. The old manor overlooks the two championship courses, leven links and lundin links, both qualifying courses for the open. For the beginner or high handicapper there are less daunting 9 or 18 hole challenges and golf lessons can be arranged. Kellie castle is 10 miles from the hotel and it is 12 miles to the famous st andrews golf course and the british golf museum. Edinburgh airport is an approximate driving time of 45 minutes and a distance of 38 miles. |
