Résidence les chalets de la vanoise is a typical wooden chalet style property located right in the centre of the resort of la norma, which is situated on a plateau looking out over the vanoise massif. The residence is next to the ski slopes and shopping facilities are nearby. The 198 apartments and studios are simply furnished and include balconies, private bathrooms and kitchenettes with hot plates, microwaves, fridges and coffee machines.
the residence caters well to groups, providing ski lockers for bulky ski equipment and an onsite launderette. For guests arriving by car there is nearby parking for which an additional fee is required. The small, pedestrianised village of la norma is right at the bottom of the ski slope and with 65 kilometres of runs, and numerous alpine sports are offered including cross country skiing, downhill skiing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing. Other activities available include hiking, dog sledging, mountain biking, swimming and rafting. For families with young children, the resort has kindergartens, kids' clubs and a supervised children's ski park. The village offers plenty of après ski options with bars, restaurants, shops and a cinema. The orelle cable car is 15 kilometres away from the village and from here guests have access to the vast three valleys ski area. Shuttle busses run from la norma to orelle and other nearby resorts including valfrejus and aussois. The nearest railway station is in modane from where a shuttle bus operates to the resort. Turin airport is 114 kilometres away with an approximate driving time of two hours, and lyon saint exupery airport is approximately 120 kilometres away.

reception opening hours: 9 am to 11 am and 4 pm to 7 pm. Closed wednesday.
please note:
room keys can only be collected on saturday between 5 pm 8 pm. Please notify the residence directly if you will be arriving after the reception is closed.
televisions and towels are not provided free of charge and can be hired locally.

apartments do not receive a daily cleaning/maid service. On departure, all apartments should be left clean and tidy. Alternatively, an end of stay cleaning service is provided by the residence which incurs a fee payable locally. |
