Situated on the northeast coast of mauritius, ten kilometres from grand baie, legends is a beachfront and spa inspired by feng shui philosophy. The 198 air conditioned guestrooms incorporate natural materials based on the elemental themes of metal, earth, fire, water and wood. Beige, cream, chocolate brown and slate tones are enhanced by light oak and wicker furnishings and ceiling fans. All rooms have balconies or terraces with sea views, and amenities include satellite tv, direct dial phones, internet access, complimentary minibars, safes, and tea and coffee making facilities. Bathrooms have hairdryers and separate tubs and showers. Full and half board rates are available.
sun worshippers can spend lazy days by one of the two freshwater pools overlooking the ocean bay, sipping cocktails from the poolside bar. The private stretch of sandy beach also has a beach bar. There are seven restaurants and bars offering extensive buffets, mediterranean and seafood specialities, east west fusion cuisine, grills and salads, drinks and cocktails. For children aged three to 11 there is a mini club, and there is also a separate activity club for teenagers. Guests can enjoy pampering treatments in the thalassotherapy spa complex, which has three spa tubs, indoor pool, steam room, sauna, hydrotherapy room, five massage suites, two beauty rooms and a hair salon. Organised daytime activities include yoga, tai chi, aerobics, games and competitions, and in the evening there are daily shows and local entertainment. Sports are available for free include beach volleyball, table tennis, boccia, floodlit tennis courts (free racket and ball hire) and unlimited access to a golf driving range with free golf balls. At the private beach guests can enjoy complimentary windsurfing, pedal boats, glass bottom boat trips, snorkelling, mini sailing and waterskiing. The hotel also has a diving centre, and offers power boat tours and big game fishing (surcharge). Further amenities include 24 hour room service, business centre, conference facilities, boutiques, cinema, and tour desk. Mauritius airport is 70 km, approximately 60 minutes' drive. |
