expert tip. tindari sanctuary is an ancient site where according to local folklore, the lagoon was created after a pilgrim who came to see the madonna refused to pray to her because she was black. Legend tells the woman accidentally dropped her baby into the ocean, so the madonna made the land rise to save the baby and the sands of marinello have taken shape of the profile of the madonna.

a weekly club card is mandatory for all guests from the 25th may to the 3rd october. These are charged at 35 eur per person per week for guests over three years old (free for children up to three). Guests spending a weekend only between the 25th may and the 28th september must purchase a weekend club card for 6 eur per person per week for guests over three years old (free for children up to three). These fees are not included in the rates and are payable locally. |
