Opened in 2004, the hilton odawara is a modern spa resort set in the foothills of the hakone mountains with views over sagami bay, five kilometres from the city centre. The 172 guestrooms all extend to balconies with ocean views and are equipped with satellite television, clock radios, safes and bathrooms with complimentary toiletries.
the resort's three storey bade zone spa centre houses a japanese style natural hot spring bath with views across the ocean, several hydrotherapy spas, a sauna, massage rooms and a 25 metre pool. Fitness enthusiasts can work out with weights and cardiovascular equipment in the gym, and an in house personal trainer is on hand to offer advice and guidance. The spa offers 25 pampering water and nature themed treatments, including facials and body and nail care. The four dining rooms, all of which prepare dishes using fresh, seasonal local produce, range from a high rise lounge bar to a brasserie serving kaiseki cooking and a garden cafe offering 72 varieties of tea. Kids young and old can keep themselves entertained with a ten lane bowling alley, five karaoke rooms, billiards and arcade games. The hotel houses four outdoor and two indoor tennis courts, a putting green for golfers and facilities for table tennis, badminton and basketball. Guests can unwind with a coffee in the hotel library, which is stocked with over 4,000 books and magazines and offers high speed internet access and dvd approximate driving time of 75 minutes.
