Le chastellan hotel is a chalet style hotel located in valberg, a classified ski resort in the maritime alps, near france's border with italy. More than 90 kilometers of ski slopes are on offer at the resort. The hotel's 30 guestrooms are decorated in simple rustic style, with pine furniture and bright fabrics. All include televisions and telephones.
guests can enjoy après ski pastries and teas in the hotel's lounge, next to the open fire. The village has a large number of restaurants offering warming après ski dishes. The biggest attraction in this town is, of course, the skiing opportunities including downhill skiing, snowboarding as well as cross country skiing. There is also an ice skating rink and many café terraces from which to take in the mountain views. In the summer, the resort instead offers facilities for horse riding, hiking, abseiling and mountain biking. Nice airport is 80 kilometers (50 miles) away. There is a daily shuttle service from the center of nice and nice airport to valberg. There is also a railway station in nice trains take 90 minutes to get to valberg. |
