The kurhaus hotel is built above the arolla village at analtitude of approximately 2100 m. It is surrounded by amagnificent forest of arolle pines. The building dates from1896 but the interior has been completely redone in 1979with full modern comfort. The rooms are nicely decorated andhave at least one wall covered with wood from local treesarolle and meleze issued from the old beams that wererecovered during the renovation. The hotel is located at the startpoint of many walks and paths to the alpine huts.
