The chateau de mazan is an eighteenth century chateau and the former residence of the marquis de sade. It is located in the provencal village of mazan, eight kilometers away from carpentras and its famous market. The 25 guestrooms are decorated in creamy colors and have dark a ntique furniture. All include minibars, hair dryers, air conditioning and satellite television.
the hotel has a landscaped garden with traditional provencal planting, including a one hundred year old olive tree. The outdoor swimming pool is set in this garden; guests can enjoy a drink by the poolside or under the shade of the mulberry trees in the rotunda. Other amenities includes tour assistance, secure parking, room service, and internet access (complimentary). Fine french cuisine is served in the hotel's restaurant, l'ingenue. The dining room is elegant, with its period moldings, fireplaces and antique furniture. Drinks and cocktails are served in the 1920s bar. Marseille provence airport is about 100 kilometers away. |
