the restaurant at the brown horse inn offers the cosy ambience of a rustic country inn, featuring beautiful beams, real fires and friendly waiting staff. Lunch is served between 12pm and 2pm, and dinner is served from 6pm until 9pm.
the brown horse inn offers a sophisticated menu with a contemporary take on traditional local fare. All of our meats and the majority of or vegetables are reared and grown on the brown horse estate. Anything that is not direct from the brown horse estate is sourced within a three mile radius. |

| An excellent place to stay on the edge of the lake district. We were there for a week and toured much of the area. The room was modern, smallish but adequate with a nice modern shower room. Dinners were very good, and they obviously have a lot of people dining who are not residents. The wifi signal didn't reach our room, but i could pick it up in the bar and so went there for an hour every morning to work before heading off for the day. This might not be the best hotel in the region, but for the price we thought it good value. more reviews of this hotel...
