location. the arion renaissance is located in vassilikos, on the south west tip of the island of zakynthos, greece, 250 metres from the ionion beach and within two kilometres of several other beaches, and 12 kilometres from zankynthos town and airport.
hotel features. a family run hotel, the arion renaissance grounds include a swimming pool, a separate children´s pool, a playground, and a playroom. Cinema nights are provided with home theatre equipment, and local excursions can be organised. There is also an internet point available.
the arion renaissance restaurant serves greek and mediterranean cuisine on the roof garden, and in the lounge room with soft background music. The pool has a snack and coffee bar which is open 24 hours, and a continental breakfast is complimentary. The half board rate includes breakfast and dinner.
on the coast there are opportunities for scuba diving, sailing, fishing and motor boating. Horse riding, miniature golf and cross country skiing are also available nearby.

expert tip. this peninsula of zakynthos has many beautiful beaches, many of which are home to the logger headed turtles which nest on this mediterranean island. On the western coast of the island is the famous smugglers' cove at navagio, where in 1983 a coaster carrying contraband was wrecked and washed up on the pebble beach. The wreck is still visible. |
