I went on an annette henry weekend at the end of june 2010 and overall i found it highly enjoyable. The hotel is excellently located, and although it is a bit of an uphill climb we walked into st anne twice without any difficulty. The rooms are on the small side, but beautifully equipped and the whole ambience of the place was first class. The only thing that let braye beach down was the food in the restaurant. That was a real disappointment, even though friends in guernsey had warned us that the restaurant was a let-down. Happily there is a restaurant opposite which is excellent, and for lunch the lobster salad at the moorings at the top of the street is good value and well prepared. Quite why a hotel of this quality almost forces it clientele to eat outwith the hotel is a mystery to me, but the first and last opposite the hotel was full of hotel guests so we were not the only ones opt out of the hotel's own food offering.....
